What is the Last Day of the Week?
The last day of the week depends on which days of the week are considered the beginning and the end. In most Western countries (United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands), the week is considered to begin on Sunday and end on Saturday. In this case, Saturday is the last day of the week.
In some countries, the week is considered to begin on Monday and end on Sunday. In this case, Sunday is the last day of the week. It’s also worth noting that some calendars have weeks that begin on other days of the week, such as Friday in the Islamic calendar or Saturday in the Hebrew calendar.
